The biggest part of Brohamcation that 9 of 10 of us couldn't wait for was Austin's proposal to Ciara! I absolutely loved getting to be a part of such a special moment for friends who will last a lifetime. Earlier in the weekend we all got together and schemed how it would all go down. So many details were gone over, how would a fire on the beach get brought up, how would we get the guys to go down first. After a long day of running around, while we were eating dinner we started to get that glazed over look and started to yearn for our beds. In a perfect moment while Ciara was out of the room, I remember saying "We need to rally! There are important things to be done." We pulled together and got the ball rolling.
The girls "sent" the guys down to the beach first "cause we didn't want to sit around waiting for the fire to get started." Well the fire took a little while to get started but then we finally got the ok to come down to the beach. Right before we reached the opening to the beach that Austin was patiently, and nervously waiting, Sierra and Shelbi started taking Ciara's things. Her drink, her sweatshirt and her purse. Then as we rounded the corner and just saw Austin standing there we gave Ciara the extra nudge that "this is for you. Go!"
This was such a special moment and I am so happy to have been apart of it! Sign me up to photograph more proposals!
I am so excited to share Kim and Jason's pictures! I had the wonderful honor of capturing part of their love story at their rehearsal dinner. The Station House in St. Petersburg, FL is absolutely amazing!! As soon as I saw the room with all the gold mirrors I knew we had to steal away some time and get up there. Kim & Jason have been together for quite a while, but the way they look at each other is still so fresh and full of love! I am so happy for them and wish them a lifetime full of love and happiness :)
These two!! Candace and JJ are the coolest people and my best friends! Stephen and I got to visit them over the fourth and it was just the best time ever. We went to the beach, played with sparklers, BBQ'ed and I talked them into letting me snap some pictures.
This is really where my portrait photography journey begins. Up until this trip I had really enjoyed getting outside and taking a bunch of landscape pictures but hadn't focused too much on taking good pictures of the people I was with. I am so in love with these pictures because I am so in love with this trip! I most definitely need to leave the country again! There are thousands of pictures from this trip and sorting through them all is a chore, but maybe one day I'll share the artsy landscape stuff I took as well. For now, though, here are my favorites of my family.
I love taking pictures. Whether it is of people, animals or landscapes I am always running around trying to get the best shot. Just ask my husband, I am always annoying him with pictures ;).
