The biggest part of Brohamcation that 9 of 10 of us couldn't wait for was Austin's proposal to Ciara! I absolutely loved getting to be a part of such a special moment for friends who will last a lifetime. Earlier in the weekend we all got together and schemed how it would all go down. So many details were gone over, how would a fire on the beach get brought up, how would we get the guys to go down first. After a long day of running around, while we were eating dinner we started to get that glazed over look and started to yearn for our beds. In a perfect moment while Ciara was out of the room, I remember saying "We need to rally! There are important things to be done." We pulled together and got the ball rolling.
The girls "sent" the guys down to the beach first "cause we didn't want to sit around waiting for the fire to get started." Well the fire took a little while to get started but then we finally got the ok to come down to the beach. Right before we reached the opening to the beach that Austin was patiently, and nervously waiting, Sierra and Shelbi started taking Ciara's things. Her drink, her sweatshirt and her purse. Then as we rounded the corner and just saw Austin standing there we gave Ciara the extra nudge that "this is for you. Go!"
This was such a special moment and I am so happy to have been apart of it! Sign me up to photograph more proposals!
Brohamcation. A long weekend spent with best friends, playing every second.
For the most part, we just hung out and chilled. We played a ton of beach volleyball, ate way too many hot dogs and hamburgers, and invented stability ball. We spent every evening around the fire talking and roasting marshmallows. One day we went for hike that lead us across a suspension bridge to an amazing waterfall. Some even decided to play in the spray of the falls. To celebrate the Fourth of July we dressed up in glow sticks, watched our neighbors light off fireworks and we wrote in the sky with sparklers. This was such a wonderful weekend spent with the dearest of friends. I can't wait for this new yearly tradition that will follow us as we transition through the different stages of life.
I love taking pictures. Whether it is of people, animals or landscapes I am always running around trying to get the best shot. Just ask my husband, I am always annoying him with pictures ;).
