So...I know we are somehow already a month into the new year, but these photos are just too fun not to share. I had a blast playing hostess when my best friends came over to celebrate with us! And, as usual I forced them to play with sparklers for the camera (it's starting to become a tradition). Love them! Here's to an amazing 2016! I can already tell it's going to be a crazy one!
Each year in January, one of my goals for the year is to complete some kind of photo challenge. In 2012 it was a 365 project. 2014 weekly scrapbooking and 2015 a roll of film a month. (2013 was the first year I actually started "trying" with my photography lol) But, I have only succeeded once, in 2014. I usually loose steam with these projects because I don't feel like I have anything interesting to photograph. My days all seem the same or going out and finding something specific to shoot didn't fit in with real life.
So, this year I am going to try my hand at 52 creative self portraits. But that is just the goal. If I miss weeks here and there it doesn't matter. What I want to get out of this is just for the project to be a creative outlet and have fun with my photography. I want to try out new techniques and equipment and learn.

I love taking pictures. Whether it is of people, animals or landscapes I am always running around trying to get the best shot. Just ask my husband, I am always annoying him with pictures ;).
